Fears that i have :]

A Malyali song that i learnt :D :D
Enda da korangacha, chandi ithra thenjadu
(Hey mr Monkey Man, why is your bum so red?)
Pandyill thooran poyappol nerakkamuthiri nerangi njan
(I went for a shit to madras and scratched it till it bled)
nice, no? Its sort of rude though lol

I was reading this nice article about fear ...
and the guy said that Humans are born with only two fears: the fear of loud noises, and unexpected removal of support or falling! All other fears are learned or developed....
cool innit?

and then on this other website there was a whole list of fears! (http://www.phobialist.com/reverse.html)

these are some of the fears that i have ... :
Anything new- Neophobia
Creepy, crawly things- Herpetophobia
being forgotten- Athazagoraphobia
Nosebleeds- Epistaxiophobia. i get a lot of nosebleeds :( so naturally i fear getting them
Parents-in-law- Soceraphobia
of having committted an unpardonable sin- Enosiophobia or Enissophobia.
:D

what are yours?

Salamun Alaikum,

Interesting post. Among the most common phobias is social phobia - fear of humiliation or embarassment in social situation where the person maybe under scrutiny by others, eg performance anxiety, public speaking, or fear of using public toilets.

When you read about the other Personality disorders, like shizoid, shizotypal, anti-social ... you forget to even think of your little phobiatic nature. It becomes so trivial as compared to the other severe social disorders.

Recently I carried out an indepth research in this topic and amazingly I could relate verses from the Quran that directly or indirectly speak of these PDs. And yet what was more blissful was the statistics ... a person who believes in the oneness of Allah has the least probability of falling into the first cluster of PDs. (Meaning shizoid, shizotypal & Paranoid). So generally speaking faith is the weapon against any psychological disease.

Sorry for the long comment. Just my little knowledge, which I hope was helpful. :)

I'm new to this blog but so far i would say it's very good. basketball is enjoyable and you should play more. but skateboarding is the best. But I'm too old so I just do running and tai chi. I'm 31.

the song is good but bad for the monkey.

also, there are people who are afraid of the number 13. they are called triskedekaphobes or somthing.

keep up the good work on the enjoyable blog

lol Why would you have a fear of new things???

I am scared of creepy, crawly things and snakes and worms and anything similar to them.

That's really interesting though, being born with only two fears. Never heard that before

Why would you have a fear of new things???
not like new "things" but as in a new school, new community, or new friends.. that sorta stuff. Cause you dont know what its gonna be like or what they are gonna be like
