Kenn Nesbitt- my new favourite person. <3
"Rapunzel! Rapunzel! You've cut off your hair!
Your billowing tresses are no longer there.
That mohawk you're sporting is spiky and pink.
I'm really not certain just what I should think.
"I came here expecting to clamber a braid,
ascending your tower to come to your aid.
Instead I have suffered the greatest of shocks
to find that you've cut off your lovely blonde locks."
"Prince Charming, Prince Charming," Rapunzel replied,
"I have no intention of being your bride.
We will not get married. We will not elope.
I've cut off my hair and I've braided a rope.
"You came here to visit me once every day,
and promised that soon you would take me away,
but you were too clueless to even concieve
of cutting my hair off so we could just leave.
"I cannot believe you were such a big dope.
I come and I go as I please with my rope.
And so, I'm afraid I can't give you my hand.
In spite of the fabulous wedding you planned."
From then on Rapunzel was known through the land.
She toured the world in a rock and roll band.
And silly Prince Charming, with rocks in his head,
rode off and got married to Snow White instead.

Day out with Daddy x]
The most dreaded parents consultation day was here, and dad picked me up from home at 10am. Off we went to school so my teachers could tell daddy how talkative, unorganized and inattentive I was :[ We reached and 'Fast Lane Express', a band from our school was playing 'Punk Rock 101'. Daddy didn't like the loud music but I was silently singing along. The music (along with my smile) slowly faded away as we made our way to my class. All the teachers said "She has the ability to gain better marks, only if she worked harder..." i work harder and harder everytime but improve very less.
I was tired and upset and wanted to go home, but daddy had some work to do, now that we were already in Dubai.
So we made three more stops before going home...
Our first task was to pick up the old parcham/flag of Karbala, Of the Dome of the Shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) from a particular short, bearded Iranian man, Agha E Mohsini who has owned the flag for quite a few years.
Next, We went to the Jupiter Airlines office because Daddy had to book tickets for the next Karbala trip on Arbaeen. Here, we were supposed to meet Mr. Hussain- someone who daddy calls his friend and younger brother. Apparently, the younger brother was a chain smoker and looked like a mob, wearing gold rings and a leather jacket. When we entered his office, there was smoke everywhere and the smell of the cigarettes gave me a horrible headache :(
Our next stop was my environmentalist and inventor grandfather (my dada's brother), Ghulam Ali Sajanlal, who everyone calls "Chief". I like going to his house because he always has awesome new things to show me :] and he says I'm the only one in the family who actually appreciates and understands his work <3 aw. He has a whole awesome 'garden' in his balcony and he used like, pipes as pots for his flowers. cool, huh?
Invention 1
Invention 2
Invention 3
Invention 4
It was 4:00pm by the time we dropped the parcham off at the Imambargah and finally, reached home. *sigh*

Late Night Rants
Sleep... is what I'm going to rant about. I hardly slept yesterday except for 2 hours in the afternoon. I couldn't sleep at night cause I had to do the Shabe Qadr amaal till like 11:30pm. After that I cleaned up the house, looked after the kids, laid out the sufra etc till like 1:00am. I finally sat down to finish my homework, which took me just half an hour. I was now getting ready to sleep but Dua Joshan E Kabeer was coming on TV and I couldn't help listening to it. I kept falling asleep but my sleep was getting disturbed time to time because of my mom or dad calling me from the kitchen or living room to do little chores and jobs here... that took me another hour. I finished at 2:30. But guess what? Theres no time for me to sleep now because the people are going to come anytime now so I helped my mom in the kitchen for a while and now I'm online.
3:12- People are already here but I'm still online. Yeah cause I need to finish blogging. So the Suhuwr will start now and the majlis at 4:00 and end before Fajr.
When I'm going to get some sleep, I don't know. And I'm even more clueless about how I'm going to stay up during classes at school.
*sigh*
edit: I stayed up throughout the whole majlis. It went went Alhamdillah I'm glad I stayed up. I also bunked school. yay =]

Thank God it's Friday... NOT!!!
Friday is a day which people use to finish household shopping, spend time with their family and do other stuff they couldn't normally do on the weekdays BUT they end up not doing any of that and instead stay stuck in the traffic all day long, start getting cranky and come back home (empty handed?)
Its the day which everybody dreads... the day fathers don't get to rest, the day mothers blood pressure goes high, the day kids wish they could spend their day and home rather than be dragged around by their parents everywhere.
Friday, they day you find no parking, they day you buy your Salik tag even though you would never need it again and the only day on which people keep koondey.
Gosh =[ Yeah I just didn't have a very good Friday. It was very dull- so black n white. Even all the pictures I took, I took ém B&W
Hope you had a Fun Friday =]

click here to watch!
Apart from that- theres nothing really new. I watched Shrek 3. very cute but not worth the dhs30 :S

Around the world in 45 minutes
I never Imagined sitting in a cardboard box with three kids and screaming would be so much fun :D We started by finger painting graffiti and random stuff on the cardboard box, Me, Zakeeya (6), Zaira (2) and Rabab (1) waited impatiently for it to dry up so we could finally sit inside it.
We all managed to fit in the little aerobox, sitting in absurd positions on each others laps. The aerobox was ready for take-off, me and my co-pilot started by slowly flapping the wings of the aerobox and once it was suspended a little bit above the ground, we started flapping faster. Soon, we were flying in the clouds feeling the cool fluffy tasteless cotton candy on our faces- we left the aerobox on autopilot and enjoyed the beutiful view UNTIL the cabin crew reported that there was a stink bomb in the aerobox. As my co-pilot could not bear the smell, I alone had to make the emergency landing and deal with the evacuation of the aerobox and the elimination of the stink.
Within half-an-hour of Dexters' Laboratory, the aerobox was ready to fly again. We decided not to waste time and wanted to make it a happy and joyful trip. Our first destination was Africa, which we had to leave due to an elephant stampede. Next we went to the Sahara (centre) for some shopping but we spotted my computer teacher due to which we had to leave immediately and could not finish out grocery shopping. I advised my co-pilot to consult with the cabin crew as to what should be our next destination, they said Antarctica- where no computer teachers or big scary animals are to be found, only cute n cuddly polar bears. On landing in Antarctica, my co-pilot Zakeeya let out a shriek "OH NO SNOWSLIDE" (yeah she knows what they are, i told her to scream that :D) so once again, we could not enjoy our 3 minute trip to Antarctica... this was the worst aerobox trip ever :(
Zaira, one of our cabin crew members suggested Karbala, though she didnt really say anything she gave us a hint by humming the nauha "Jaane Wale Karbala Ke, Karbala Le Chal Mujhe" so I agreed with her saying 'Yes, What a safe place to go Zaira!' This trip took quite a long time because the nauhas kept coming one after another and we couldnt land unless the majlis was totally over... well, we finally landed with a big jolt and found ourselves and the aerobox floating on River Furat, as our aerobox was getting wet and starting to tear from the bottom we did the ziarat of the Haramayn with only our eyes and took off again to go back home. we were getting tired and were already late for dinner. *grumble* WHY IS THERE NO FOOD IN THE AEROBOX, I TOLD YOU NOT TO FORGET!!! co-pilot Zakeeya was screaming at the youngest cabin crew member who started sobbing silently then broke into tears. So anyway we landed safely in our room with a torn aerobox bottom with grumbly tummies and rushed to the dinner table to eat roti salan.
OOOoookkiii i sort of got really carried away with this. Yes, we did sit in a cardboard box and imagined flying all around the world though. But while writing this i got really really carried away... im not even sure if its even any good. *sigh* yay for imagination <3>

O look who's 15 now
A huge purple balloon popping over my head and the confetti flying all over at 12:00 midnight. My very first surprise b'day party :) There was confetti everywhere and I could hear many screechy loud voices singing 'the happy birthday song' and some screaming "SURPRISE!!!" for me as I came out of the loo. :P it was Sana and she had come with her whole family. There was cake-cutting and salawats and more of the the happy birthday song even though sang at a high pitch sounded like nice, melodious music to me. lol hehe <3 They stayed until 2 am to celebrate and we had a partehhh!
I even got loads of text messages from my friends. Gosh, I feel so lucky to have such friends!
The next day at school, all my classmates sang to me while i was standing in front embarrased and blushing... not sure whether to just stand there and listen or sing to myself lol. I got hand-made cards from all my friends, which I really really loved! And even a box of Galaxy jewels' from one :P :P
At home, I was getting ready to go to a movie with my sis-in-law but what I didn't know was that i had another surprise coming up (yay) I rang the bell and waited for my bhabi to open the door and when she did, my friends and cousins were all standing there in their 'we-have-to-surprise-her' positions and the second I entered, everyone screamed 'SURPRISEEE!" there were more people this time so it sounded louder. And again we had a party. I overate.
This was a really memorable birthday. Today, I realized how much everyone cared for me and that I never really give them back the love which they give me :/ Also, I never ever had anyone throw a surprise party for me but this time I had TWO! bwuhahaha <3
Otherwise, I have my finals coming up yeah the Exams, Examinations, Eggzams, Ex-ams, dumzams. Yeah whatever you call them. Those. so i might be going on a short hiatus or something... it won't be too long, maybe a month or so.

Milad Un Nabi
Pearls Of Wisdom
Prophet Muhammad (sawaw)
*The ink of the scholar is more holy than the blood of the martyr.
*He who travels in the search of knowledge, to him God shows the way of Paradise.
*Deal gently with people, and be not harsh; cheer them and condemn not.
*The best of friends is he who is best in behavior and character.
*Whoever loves to meet God, God loves to meet him.
Imam Ja'far Al Sadiq (AS)
* Knowledge is a shield, truthfulness is might, ignorance is abasement, understanding is glory, generosity is success, good behavior causes friendship, he who has knowledge about his time ambiguous things do not attack him, and determination is mistrust.
* There are three kinds of people: The scholars, the seekers of knowledge and all the others are a waste of humanity.
* The most perfect of men in intellect is the best of them in ethics.
* Verily, knowledge is a lock and its key is the question.
* If you are not patient, then pretend to be patient.
Weehh ... I have my spring break. yay. ends on the 14th so I have time to finish allllll my pending work. I already finished writing the Karbala Diaries. I just have to get over with my shopping and then start studying for my exams!!! :O

Pixel Art
Im back from Iraq- got back on thursday :]
anyways ... I was just browsing and I found some really adorable pixel sites. OMG theyre so amazing! So I tried some pixel art too :P
its not very easy... lol
my first one - very simple. I did it with the help of a tutorial
2nd - its actually a cookie box hehe. The shading looks horrible. ew. Actually i dont even know how to shade.
3rd - random crap >.>
omgg ... its just my fourth but i love it so much omg. My mum is gonna use this for her webby yay. Its sorta untidy though isn't it?
Hah, also... I got tagged by Pam
RULES: “Each player of this game starts off with ten weird things or habits or little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged must write in a blog of their own ten weird things or habits or little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you must choose six people to be tagged and list their names. No tagbacks!”
10 weird habits/secrets…
1. I highlight text when I'm reading anything online. A habit I adopted from my cousin. She used to do it a lot and then I started doing it too.. Weird.
2. I am currently obsessed with puppets and crayons.
3. I talk to myself in the loo. alot... I talk to myself like the second person :D
4. I often go to sleep with my glasses on. Im so used to them jeez
5. If I start laughing it takes a (long) while for me to stop. Its the same with my dad and if we both start laughing at once.... *lol*
6. I'm so totally not good at this. I suck at describing myself
7. I eat yoghurt with almost everything. I finish two medium0sized boxes in a week so you can imagine. hehe
8. I get very annoyed when people read slowly and voice out all the letters in a word. EE i hate slow readers. oh also, I think its abnormal that some people dont read books.
9. I like short, trimmed nails... long nails are annoying.
10. I don't eat rice with a spoon or fork. It more fun eating the desi way- with my hand :P
I tag *Hanah Butt *Caz *Ali Imran *Sadaf Aapa *Karachiite *Oz

OMG leaving soon
God, I feel suddenly so lucky because I wasn't gonna go .. because of all the school work and because its 10th grade, like one of the two most "vital" years in school.
And even till yesterday I was still hanging and well, swinging from here to there. Whether I should go or not- I never really chose a side. It just happened and now I'm going.
Omgggg
I think when you have the bulaawa (invitation) everything just happens by its self without any effort from your side.
This was so sudden and it happened so quick but I still got time to complete all my shopping and my tayyari and all my school work!
anyways, I gotts to go now.
So thats all,
InshaAllah next blog entry in another ten days hehe. and also my diary entries with short video clips! :O :O :O

Flag from Karbala
We had a majlis at home at 11:00pm and I went to sleep during the majlis. When it was over, at about 1:00 my best friend Sana tried waking me up, in return I hit her. But when she said, that the Flag from Karbala was here in Dubai at some uncle's house. I sprang up with excitement and got ready to leave!
I went all geared up with my hiladene wale photography skills and my camera!
We didnt know what to expect until we entered the room and there was the huge red flag on a long table. My first thought when I entered the room was "Wow! Im so lucky... Thanks to Sana otherwise I'd be sleeping right now while everyone else got such a wonderful ziyarat!" I'd never imagined that so randomly, so suddenly someone would wake me up in the middle of the night and take me to do Ziyarat of the Flag from the roza of Imam Hussain (AS) and that too, in Dubai! How unusual hehe
So we got there and Shams Kanani (who was also there) told us the significance of the flag and we also recited two nauhas. We got to spend alot of time there Alhamdulilah... stayed there atleast an hour all by ourselves.
The flags significance is that 70,000 angels go through it to get to the zari and before it is put up it is rubbed against the zari. Also, he told us that they never wash this flag and told us that if we wipe our tears on it, our tears will stay there forever and when we go to Karbala, we can look at the flag and think 'I wiped my tears on that'... wow.
okay time for my hiladene wale pictures and video clip!

Razzmatazz and lotsa other stuff.
Chek'iaut
aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhkiyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyomgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!! :O
My brother bought me a 5200!
I love it, its very cute and chic.
*excited scream*
Okay ... so today was the Razzmatazz Carnival thing at school and it sucked, it was soooo boring! There was nothing good to buy, eat or play and the only good things were the dances (most of which I missed) so I had a crap day.
I bought freaking vouchers worth dhs 90 and then I realized, I has nothing to spend them on. Great, What a waste of money!!!
So, I figured that I'd better buy something before all the stalls got closed. But guess what? they were already closed. People were packing up all their stuff a hour and a half earlier!
The only stall left was the Disney one and I'd already gotten two things from there. I ended up getting everything else from there as well. So I bought two shower gels- a spongebob one for myself and Darth Vader for my bother. I got my neice a Barbie lipgloss set and I bought 4 superman toothbrush for Danu, Mohammed, Asghar and Ahmed <3>
Also, Its so sad how parent are SO clueless about what their kids do in school!! I mean I saw at least 3 girls... the minute their dads car went out out sight, their hijabs and abayas flew away hawa ke jhokey se >.< [x].Sad.[x]
Oh well, I've learnt three things,
1) Its no use crying over spilt milk- I was crying today because I was feeling guilty that I wasted so much money without thinking!
2)Think before you leap- I beg myself
3)Never, NEveR miss a good majlis for a dum event your school has organised

Photography
I loved clicking pictures since I was 7 or 8. I remember I wasn't baligh when I got my first camera :P And it was one of those disposable ones with like 30 pictures or something... I finished the whole roll in one day! Took pictures of everything, Flowers in my uncle's backyard, their swimming pool, my cousins, the food. I just kept clicking away :D
Then when i was about 11, my brother had this digicam which he had been using for about a year... I kept borrowing it from him to take pics and it stopped working after a while (because of excessive use hehe)
And when I was 13, I got a Panasonic Lumix which I still use. Already, its zoom has gotten messed up.
But I know nothing about photography. nothing, zero, zilch, sifr, nada! I don't know nothing about angle, perspective, colors, lighting, focus. I just take pictures as a hobby, a passion. I just keep clicking. I like capturing the beauty of Allah (SWT)'s creations, I like capturing all the precious moments possible.
Like Our trips to Iraq, Zaira's first time brushing her teeth, Zaira without hair, Rabab playing with the phone, Zakeeya acting silly :P, Pictures of trips to Istanbul :D
I just need a good enough camera with better features... even though I'm not sure what sort of features I want. I just need one which can take better focused and clear pictures.
So yeah, conclusion- i want a new camera
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oki, so I finally submitted a few pictures on DeviantArt
go checky them outy:
*Through Cracked Glass
*The Guests
*And the Host
*With Her purse
All four pics are from my trip to Iraq for 'Arafah
This is so unfair!!! :O
I was there too, sitting and listening.
i sat and ate
and i listened
and i sat and ate
and i listened
i sat
i listened
and ate.
i kept sitting and listening and eating.
Then I couldn't take it anymore!
"Whyyy does everyone want boys OMG!>?!?! argh! Whats wrong with us daughters? Are only sons worthy of praise? This Isn't fair!!!" :O
Then I went back to sitting, listening and eating...
because there are some things you cannot change- like the fact that everyone wants sons and no daughters!
Moharram 1428
A'zamallah Ujoorana Wa Ujoorakum
The Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) said: Surely, there exists in the hearts of the Mu'mineen, with respect to the martyrdom of Husain (A.S.), a heat that never subsides.
1400 years have passed by; generations have passed by since the sacrifice of Syed As Shuhadaa' Imam Hussain (as) for Islam and it is still being remembered; and will continue to be remembered forever and ever.
My deepest condolences to my 12th Imam al Mahdi (atf), and to all Muslim brothers and sisters, on this great sacrifice of Imam Hussain (as) in Karbala, and congratulate you on a revolution which has blessed us with so many bounties and lessons to learn.
Wassalaam,
